Habostorta Hungary


Habostorta was founded in 2000 by six private investors led by Tamás Kieselbach, Hungary's prominent art dealer and auctioneer. The company quickly established itself as a strong force in the online market. Focusing on dating and light entertainment, Habostorta was one of the first local online media companies to turn a profit in the troubled after-boom era. Through the rapid expansion of its user base and diversification of its network and content portfolio, the company was able to capitalize on the growing importance of online advertising.

Habostorta has an average of 200,000 unique visitors and 5,500,000 page impressions on a given day. Its main brand is Randivonal, Hungary's leading dating service with around 500,000 registered users.

The Georg von Holtzbrinck media group had consolidated revenues of more than € 2 billion in 2005. Its numerous brands and media publications include the German Die Zeit and Handelsblatt newspapers and the leading scientific journals Nature and Scientific American. The Holtzbrinck Networks online division
(holtzbrinck-networxs.com) owns and operates the European-wide Parship dating service, which is a strategic link to Habostorta's strong presence in the Hungarian dating market. Parship is Europe's largest online partner search agency for long-term relationships. It operates in 10 European countries and already holds market leading positions in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. However, Randivonal will remain a unique and separate Hungarian brand within the Holtzbrinck portfolio.

We are focusing on the early teens of 12-14 years with community services.

This site is the gate for the youngest audience into Habostorta’s world. First time users meet the brand and the portfolio through Gumicsizma.

Gyalogló

Target: 16-34 years

Chat community, photo albums, mail communication.

One of Hungary’s largest and oldest chat community.

All the 120.000 registered users can be targeted with advertising based on their demographics.

In the first quarter of 2006 the entire site was redesigned and improved.

The project was launched in late July of 2006.  Today there are 220.000 registered users and a daily 20.000 unique visitors. Our growth rate is 2.000 new users / day.
