Atlas.cz is one of the biggest Internet portals in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1997 mostly as demonstration of new Internet services.
In short time, because of users’ interest, it changed to one of the most visited Internet portals. Today, Atlas.cz offers several services and a variety of channels. Atlas’ search engine is one of its key services and the heart of the portal.
Further important services include:
Mail (Mail service on Altlas.cz belongs to the most widely used services), Mapy (maps), ADSL (since 2005 Atlas offers fast Internet connection through ADSL technology), ICQ, Cestovani (travelling), Auto, FilmPub, Zpravy (news), Prace (jobs), Zena (woman), Magazin, Horoskopy (horoscopes) and Pokec (community services, chat).
The portal is visited by 2,5 million unique users per month and generates 150 million page impressions (November 2006).
From 2006 Altas.cz has a new homepage and new services and channels are added constantly for all internet population. Atlas.cz became the second portal on the internet Czech market in September 2006.
In 2006 Atlas.cz became a partner of ICQ in Czech. Atlas.cz can offer exclusive advertisement for large internet population, through this most favourite way of internet communication.
